22Miami exists to give South Florida's business community a clear, trustworthy view of the people, companies, and decisions shaping the region. We serve readers — founders, investors, operators, and executives — not advertisers, sources, or algorithms.
Accuracy is our highest obligation. We verify facts before we publish, attribute claims to their sources, and distinguish clearly between reporting, analysis, and opinion. When numbers appear in our work, we can point to the document, filing, or on-the-record source they came from. If we cannot confirm something, we either leave it out or say plainly what remains unverified.
Our newsroom is editorially independent. Commercial relationships never determine what we cover or how we cover it. Our team members avoid financial or personal interests that could compromise their reporting and disclose any unavoidable conflict to editors, who manage coverage accordingly.
Advertising and sponsored or branded content are always clearly labeled and produced separately from the newsroom, as described on our Advertise page. Payment never buys favorable news coverage. Funding and ownership are disclosed in our Masthead.
We use software tools, including AI, to help surface leads, draft summaries, and speed up routine production. This assistance never replaces human editorial judgment: a member of our team reviews, verifies, and is accountable for every article we publish. We do not publish AI-generated text as fact without human verification, and we do not use AI to fabricate quotes, sources, images, or data.
We report fairly, in context, and without malice. When we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and transparently. Our process for handling errors is set out in our Corrections Policy.
South Florida is one of the most international business communities in the United States. We aim to reflect that — across the people we cover, the sources we quote, and the languages our readers speak — and to report with equal rigor on every part of the region.
