NFL Star Larry Ogunjobi Lists $16M Spec Home

Former Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi has entered Miami Beach's competitive luxury development market with a $15.9 million spec home at 1141 North Biscayne Point Road, marking a significant career expansion beyond professional football.

The 32-year-old NFL veteran acquired the Biscayne Point site for $4.6 million in 2024 and developed the property through his entrepreneurial platform, First of Many. The completed residence, which Ogunjobi calls "Glasshouse," spans 4,300 square feet and features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, one half-bath, a glass-enclosed office, and a sunset terrace.

The waterfront mansion includes 107 feet of open bay frontage, a private dock, saltwater pool and spa, and a summer kitchen. Kobi Karp handled the architectural design, while Cetoute Design Group served as the builder. Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman holds the listing.

Ogunjobi obtained his Florida real estate license during the 2024 offseason, positioning himself to capitalize on Miami's robust luxury housing sector. The move reflects his long-term strategy to build wealth and business interests that extend beyond his athletic career. He previously purchased a two-bedroom penthouse in Miami for $900,000 in 2022, establishing his foothold in the local market.

The athlete joins a wave of developers targeting Miami Beach's luxury segment, where older homes are being replaced by high-end spec properties. More than 30 spec homes priced at $10 million or above are currently available across Miami Beach, according to Zillow data. The market has benefited from continued wealth migration to South Florida, with affluent buyers seeking turnkey properties in premier locations.

Ogunjobi's football credentials include four seasons with the Cleveland Browns, a Super Bowl LVI appearance with the Cincinnati Bengals, three years with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his most recent one-year contract with Buffalo signed in March 2024. The North Carolina native is currently an unrestricted free agent following last season.

The defensive lineman emphasized his intention to pursue both careers simultaneously, seeking additional development opportunities in Miami while continuing his professional football trajectory. His entry into real estate development demonstrates a growing trend of professional athletes diversifying their portfolios during their playing years rather than waiting for retirement.

Biscayne Point's gated location and waterfront positioning make it particularly attractive to international and domestic buyers seeking privacy and luxury amenities. The neighborhood has seen increased development activity as Miami Beach remains a focal point for high-net-worth individuals relocating to Florida.
