Pura Vida Miami Expands to Kendall Retail Center
The popular South Florida café chain has secured 3,400 square feet at Palms at Town & Country, joining three other new tenants including fitness studios and Mediterranean fast-casual dining.
Pura Vida Miami will open its newest location at the Palms at Town & Country retail center in Kendall this summer, marking another expansion for the popular café chain founded by Omer and Jennifer Horev. The restaurant has leased 3,400 square feet at the Miami-Dade County shopping center.
The Kendall development is attracting multiple wellness and dining concepts simultaneously. Jetset Pilates plans to occupy 2,000 square feet for a new studio opening next winter, while Yoga Joint has secured the largest space at 5,400 square feet for a summer opening.
Mediterranean fast-casual chain Cava will round out the new tenant roster with a 2,700-square-foot restaurant expected to open within the coming weeks. The Washington D.C.-based brand has been expanding rapidly across Florida markets as part of its national growth strategy.
The clustering of health-focused businesses at Palms at Town & Country reflects broader retail trends in South Florida, where fitness studios and wellness concepts continue to drive leasing activity. Yoga and Pilates studios have proven particularly resilient, maintaining steady membership bases even as retail preferences shift.
Pura Vida Miami has built a strong following across South Florida since its founding, becoming known for its fresh ingredients and health-conscious menu offerings. The brand's expansion into Kendall positions it to serve one of Miami-Dade County's largest suburban markets, where families and young professionals have driven consistent population growth.
Kendall's retail market has shown sustained strength, supported by its dense residential base and proximity to major employment centers. The neighborhood sits along key transportation corridors, providing easy access for both local customers and commuters traveling to downtown Miami and other business districts.
Fast-casual dining continues to outperform other restaurant segments in South Florida, with brands like Cava and Pura Vida benefiting from consumer preferences for quick service without sacrificing food quality. These concepts typically require less labor than full-service restaurants while commanding higher average checks than traditional fast food.
The fitness industry has similarly demonstrated resilience, with boutique studios like Jetset Pilates and established brands like Yoga Joint expanding despite increased competition from home workout options and digital fitness platforms. These businesses rely on community-building and personalized instruction that cannot be easily replicated through virtual alternatives.
Palms at Town & Country's ability to attract four diverse but complementary tenants simultaneously indicates strong market fundamentals in the Kendall retail corridor. The mixed-use nature of surrounding development provides built-in customer traffic, while ample parking and visibility support the success of both established and emerging restaurant and fitness brands.
